BOKU NO HERO ACADEMIA SEASON 1 ANIME REVIEW

BOKU NO HERO ACADEMIA SEASON 1 ANIME REVIEW -KOHEI HORIKOSHI Plot:  Honestly, I never thought this anime was good. I really have no interest in trending anime's and this series is one of them. For me, trending animes is just an overrated one. Well, not all I guess. Trying to find some good action anime in YouTube, I've come to watch the fight between Midoriya and Todoroki. And because Todoroki looks so cool, I tried watching the first episode, and the next one, and the next one. And I got hooked up.  This anime is about heroes and future heroes. The setting is a world where different skills or powers can be discovered in a human being and they can, if they like it, may want to become a hero. Our MC wanted to become one, wanted it in desperation. However, he was born with nothing. Nothing at all. Thus, his journey of having no skill but wanting to become a hero will begin once he encounters the best hero of all, the one he admires so much.  Characters: Useless chara...

BOKU NO HERO ACADEMIA FUTARI NO HERO MOVIE REVIEW

BOKU NO HERO ACADEMIA FUTARI NO HERO MOVIE REVIEW -KOHEI HORIKOSHI Not all heroes needed superpowers to help people, not all of them needed inhuman skills or reflexes to maintain the peace in society, other people can fight and help too by using their mind, by making their ideas into life. That is what I-Island is. An island for all scientists who are continuously creating support items to assist heroes and help the people in need. The setting of the movie starts with All Might, accompanied by Deku in this island, with the invitation of his friend's daughter. The story goes on with most of the UA students that are also invited having fun with the exhibits, until villains who planned to make hostages of all the people in the island took action.  People who believe in themselves, who are willing to take risk and stand on what they want in life is a sight to see. Most of the time, we're being blinded by the negative things in life that we failed to see that there's also hope...

BIYAKU CAFE MANGA REVIEW

BIYAKU CAFE MANGA REVIEW -UKYOU AYANE OVERALL: 8.8 PLOT: 9 There are different ways of loving someone. Though everyone is different from another, one thing is for sure, they treat their other one precious. It is great to see story which not only revolves around two person but also the people who surrounds them. Different set ups which made the story more interesting. The involvement of the two main characters are fast but it will make you feel that it is normal. It became natural and it has that atmosphere of matureness in it. CHARACTERS: 9 I really love the male protagonist. He show how simpleminded a guy can be. He fall for the girl real fast, he always do some indecent thing like it was the only way he know to show his love. But he also assure his girl always. He secure his relationship. He does everything just to make his girl happy. He only has his eyes set on his girl. I love that attitude of him which he knows what he really want and no one can stop him from wanting it. Li...

BIG ORDER SERIES AND OVA ANIME REVIEW

BIG ORDER SERIES AND OVA ANIME REVIEW -SAKAE ESUNO Plot:  If all people can get what they want, if we all can live life the way we want it, if all of our wishes can come true, how awesome it can be? But don't you think that living with struggles are more beautiful? Achieving your goal, attaining your dreams, having the capability to get what you want because you work hard for it is more satisfying than having it without any efforts done on your end. The series revolves around a young man 'Eiji' living in a world where certain people got a hold of powers called 'Orders'. Being one of them, Eiji refuses to use his power as he blames himself for the world destruction happened 10 years ago. After living in silent for years, an association with the intention of using him suddenly makes a move, threatening his sister's safety giving him no choice but to obey. As the series goes on, revelations come in sight, and individual beliefs will crash with one another.  Chara...

BEN-TO ANIME REVIEW

BEN-TO ANIME REVIEW -ASAURA / KAITO SHIBANO OVERALL: 6.4 PLOT: 7/10 The concept of the story is unique, honestly. However, I don't see any development in it as every episode seems to be repetitive. It is just like one boss after another. One floor after another. If you get what I mean. Well yeah, I admit that the action scenes are good and if you're the type who only want to watch an anime who fight again and again. Then you can  try this. I rated it above 5 or 6 since I'm amazed on how the plot of this is unimaginable. Like for the sole purpose of getting that something, they become brave and fight. Maybe the message of it was if you do want something, you should fight for it.  CHARACTER: 5/10 The main character has no impact at all for me. Or it is just to cliché? The protagonists role are too common. It made me bored to watch the anime because of the character which I often see in most of the anime who have the same genre. Aside from the traits, the looks is also com...

BACCANO! ANIME REVIEW

BACCANO! ANIME REVIEW -RYOHGO NARITA OVERALL: 9.4 PLOT: 10/10 This anime revolves around the world of mafias. However, it is not your typical story in which both sides fight each other, claiming territory and the like. At first, you will go keep asking why? What is happening? Why is something like that possible? But as long as you go deeper on this series, the magnitude of the revelations, every pieces of the story which go into their rightful places are really awesome. Honestly, I'm really amazed at how this kind of series created. Even though there are too many characters in the story, there are too many scenarios that are taking place, there are too many question that will be bothering you, this series successfully made it possible to understand. They've answer all the questions, the loopholes, the what's' and whys' as the series goes.  CHARACTERS: 10/10 The characters are very different with each other. They have different craziness inside of them. Each of the...

ARIFURETA SHOKUGYOU DE SEKAI SAIKYOU ANIME REVIEW

ARIFURETA SHOKUGYOU DE SEKAI SAIKYOU ANIME REVIEW -HAKUMAI RYOU Plot: Being a loser, being bullied, or losing all the time, it will certainly change a person. Being the center of attention, not positively but just a laughingstock will make you see yourself unworthy and useless. We always see this kind of protagonist in a story. We always wanted, expected them to change in way more cooler and powerful than the way they've been before. The one thing I love on this series is the process of changing the MC takes, how his so good nature turns into an aggressive one. But it still balance out as he is not entirely heartless. Along the story, it'll just turn into a harem adding girls with bigger boobs and sexy outfits. Honestly, I just want the first two protagonist on a journey, no add-ons. I think, the very interesting and exciting part of this series is when the MC comes to light. When all eyes are on him, unable to believe how the disaster he experience changed him into something...

ANGEL SANCTUARY ANIME REVIEW

ANGEL SANCTUARY ANIME REVIEW -YUKI KAORI Overall: 9.4 Plot: 9 I can't actually remember how and why I downloaded this anime. It only consist of three episodes about the war between angels. The opening of the story is really interesting as it mentioned Lilith, who other people believe to be the first wife of Adam. Though along the story, that opening seems to be not related at all. The story actually show a tragic love between siblings, how they tried to stop their feelings and the consequence of falling in love. Apart from that, it was also a fantasy themed anime where war between God, angels and demon exists. A reincarnation of an angel named "Alexiel" who, in the past, opposed God's doing is residing on the body of a high school boy "Setsuna" who loved his twin sister "Sara". Along the way, the angel's sister "Rosiel" keep on trying to anger Setsuna in order for Alexiel to bring himself up. However, it seems that the angel himself...

AKAME GA KILL ANIME REVIEW

AKAME GA KILL ANIME REVIEW -TAKAHIRO Plot:  Fighting for what we believe in is truly a human nature. Nobody has the right to say that what we believe in is wrong. It all depends on the perspective of different people. In a tyrannical monarchy, where every side you turn into is cruelty and madness, who will be blamed is someone kill? If someone turn into a heartless assasin, using their weapon to make a path to peaceful life. Isn't it the fault of the higher ones who make use of their power to abuse it? Or the people itself to let it happen? This series shows us how easy human can be manipulated when it comes to worldly things, how we can turn into something horrible because of negative situations that hurt us or how it will makes us stronger. For me, the story focuses on two kinds of people, the one who let madness of the world sink into their hearts and the other who overcome it, use it to get stronger, and make the right decisions that will help others.  Character: Th...

AJIMU KAIGAN MONOGATARI ANIME REVIEW

AJIMU KAIGAN MONOGATARI ANIME REVIEW Overall: 6.6  Plot: 7 The series consist of only four episodes about a beginning of romance with an average guy and a musician girl. There is nothing really new on the story itself. A kind of love story where someone is waiting, someone is dumb enough to notice the others feelings, where there are pain in the past. Watching this kind of story sometimes is fine, in an ordinary and peaceful day while resting in the bed. Even if it is only four episodes, it does not look like it has been rushed. Every scenarios, every emotions, was presented naturally. It feels like watching a commercial anime break. Just a light and fast pace story that will let you rest on your ongoing plan to watch list of Animes.  Characters: 6 The two characters I set my eyes on is the supporting ones. There's nothing really unique and eye catching on the lead of the series. A timid guy falling for a beautiful girl, that is not my type at all. What's more cool to s...

AO HARU RIDE MANGA REVIEW

AO HARU RIDE MANGA REVIEW -SAKISAKA IO Plot: The first time I've read this manga; I was really not into it. The MC annoys me; the story irritates me. But reading it a second time, I came to love it. It's funny how I didn't like it the first time. The story is about a girl named Futaba who loves Kou since her younger days. Due to circumstances, she was left alone not taking action to that feeling. After fate had made a play on them, Kou returned to the same school at her, however with a very different personality as what she knew in the past. This manga revolves around teenage feelings, how they act rash not thinking of the consequence, how they enjoy their life while they're at it, how simple minded can they be. It shows how pure the love they have, and what they can do when love strikes them. It is cute and dreamlike. It is pure and faithful. It is what teenage life is. Well, I think Sakisaka did a great job picking the title of it as it really matches the theme of t...

18IF ANIME REVIEW

18IF ANIME REVIEW -ATSUHIRO TOMIOKA OVERALL: 7.6 PLOT: 9 Have you ever try to write something you think is very interesting? Like you know that it really have that sense and concept which can hook the audience? At first, this series is kind of strange, and confusing. The first episode will make you question its entirety. Is it good? Is it worth the time to watch? But along the story, you'll find the things that the author wanted to tell. You'll find that its plot is a whole other level. This anime shows different kind of stories that tackles about living, how different people are, their status, their goals, their desire, manifest in their mind and bring it into another world which we all really know of. I really feel that there's a deeper meaning the creator of this story wanted to tell his viewer, how precious life is, how vulnerable people can be, how emotions work. This anime just need some serious consideration to really see a whole new perspective into it.  CHARACTER...

With peacefulness in mind, he relieved himself by staying away from people and being contented having those pair of glasses that hides his amazing looks. However, without a warning, he accidentally bumped into her first love which was also a part of his childhood dream. A dream of being an artist. A dream which the three of them pledge. Running away from it now became impossible to Yori with Shizuku on his side. But being a gravure model, Shizuku is having a hard time getting roles as an actress. With Yori on the scene, the break on the entertainment industry she's waiting to happen will come.  In spite of hoping that there's a happy ending waiting just by being on her side, Subaru, with his charismatic looks and attained name in the industry, even though a childhood friend of Shizuku, became a rival of Yori for her heart. The story, like most shouj...

B THE BEGINNING ANIME REVIEW

B THE BEGINNING ANIME REVIEW -KATSUYA ISHIDA OVERALL: 9.6 PLOT: 9/10 I'm searching for a series with an initial of letter B when my eye caught this one. At first, I'm quite unsure if I want to watch it since the protagonist guy looks weird. But at the same time, it also looks cool. Episode 1 give me the creeps. Like woah, I really didn't expect that. There's the same atmosphere of Zankyou no Terror on this one. The kind of genre I've been searching for. The story will keep you going. The mysteries that will make you press the next episode. The questions left unanswered up until the ending. Well, the place where one of the protagonist came from is quite common. It's kind of the escape on how unbelievable characters are made. But on the whole, it's exciting, really. This series conveyed how twisted mind of human works. How it can manipulate someone's thinking. How it can lead to something inhumane.  CHARACTERS: 10/10 I love the craziness of the character...

AYASHI NO CERES ANIME REVIEW

AYASHI NO CERES ANIME REVIEW  -YUU WATASE OVERALL: 7.6 PLOT: 7 Love is not always how happy you are with the person you care for. It is also understanding them, it is also maintaining what is between the two of you. It is kinda funny to think of the main plot of this story. It is like a lovers quarrel due to the misunderstanding between two person in love. What makes it interesting is the way that little thing turns out into a big one that causes disruption, not only just the two of them, but also the blood running next to them. It is also fascinating to know something about a myth or historical love story flashing in my eyes. This anime has its twist that you'll never expect it to be. The only thing I doubted is how the bond between the other two main characters bloom. Love should be shown naturally. It does not create a feelings out of nowhere. It always, always have its root. It always come from something lovable, with flaws, but with understanding. Apart from that, the c...

ARSLAN SENKI SEASON 1 ANIME REVIEW

ARSLAN SENKI SEASON 1 ANIME REVIEW -YOSHIKI TANAKA OVERALL: 9/10 PLOT: 8/10 The story focuses on a young prince who has been somewhat driven out of his kingdom due to some incident in the past. This story mainly focuses on how will he manage to get the kingdom back and make the right choices to change the bad ways and rules that the previous generation has taken. I won't say that this story is a unique one because fighting over a crown is quite common in a monarchy and historical fiction, I think. What I'm interested the most is that origin of Prince Arslan which specifically not tackled in this season. I doubt that he is the son of Andragoras (the King) and his Queen. However, there might be something in the past which leads to him being the prince. I love this anime, mainly maybe because it is historical. The action on it is also good and how every character choose whomever they believe also affects the plot. It comes to the point where they needed to pick whether being on ...

AOI BUNGAKU ANIME REVIEW

AOI BUNGAKU ANIME REVIEW -SATOSHI SUZUKI OVERALL: 8/10 PLOT: 8/10 This series is shocking?  At first, I felt really bored and irritated watching this. I thought the story will focus on Dazai's suicidal attempts and negative emotions but it is actually a 5-6 stories in one series. Honestly, thanks to this anime I understand why Dazai (BSD) is a suicidal one. Though I really really hate that first story. I understand what the concept that story is trying to imply. That the world is trying to suck his sanity from him. That it is full of misery. But. The world is also a beautiful place. It is also a wonderful one. It is just on the eye of the one who's going to see it, for me. If you are not strong enough to live this world, then start being one. The second, third, up to the last story is great, in my opinion. Yes, it also reflects the world as a different one. However, they've successfully portray it in a different aspect. They've show us how people see things in a diffe...

AKKUN TO KANOJO ANIME REVIEW

AKKUN TO KANOJO ANIME REVIEW - WAKA KAKITSUBATA OVERALL: 8.2 PLOT: 8/10 A creepy boyfriend who acts very  opposite to what he really feel and a not so dumb girl who understands his gesture. A tsundere guy is a common one but this guy here is truly entertaining. It's just a 10 episode anime with 3 and a half minutes per episode so it's kinda make me feel that this story is a waste, but wait? There really has no plot on this anime.  If you want a light story that'll make you laugh, this one's best for you. It's purely comedy. You can just watch it if you want some sort of stress reliever? The idiocy of the characters are out of the world, it's terrifying.  CHARACTERS: 8/10 All of the characters are idiot, really. They're in their own world living and speaking what they want to. And that's why this anime turn out to be a really crazy one. There's really no character development but the creation of the characters themselves is cute and funny. I can...

AI HIME - AI TO HIMEGOTO MANGA REVIEW

AI HIME - AI TO HIMEGOTO MANGA REVIEW -MITSUKI KAKO I was curious to read this piece since I am looking for a love story which encircles on the story of an older guy. So right, someone recommend it to me.  STORY: 7 The story is good. It is a typical Shoujo Manga that everyone always saw. The fact that it is 13 chapters and the author showed how their love bloom is actually amazing. Though I'm really shocked how fast their love for each other starts. There's not something that happens that would make them fall for each other. As I say, a typical Shoujo Manga. And a short one, at that. I gave it a good grade since:  ~It is a common story ~The twist or the problem the lovers encountered is quite easy. Or it's just that I expect more effort on the two on how they'll be able to express their love for each other.  ART: 9 Art is great. It's good and I have nothing to comment about that.  CHARACTER: 9 The character is... good? Though, we always see the personality on ...

5-TSU NO HAJIMETE-UBAWARETE MO II, KIMI NI NARA MANGA REVIEW

5-TSU NO HAJIMETE-UBAWARETE MO II, KIMI NI NARA MANGA REVIEW -KOKORO AYUMI OVERALL: 5.4 PLOT: 5 Some story strike the heart of the reader even if it is short. Most story won't. This one will leave you in amusement at how fast pace it was. The love attached into it is fragile and the reason behind is too unbelievable. It will make you feel that this kind of bond can be easily crumpled and a body contact is just what it keeps the relationship going. If this story is just a draft of a long one, I think it will be great as other flavors can be added to make it more interesting. CHARACTERS: 4 I don't believe a girl who's not used to guys can easily be fallen to one. Suddenly holding your hand by a guy is not romantic at all, it will be creepy. A love story was called a love story 'cause there's two people flirting with one another, I know. The character just lack some main character's attitude that can attract you, it's hollow. ART: 9 Hands up on the art. It cute...

Humanity Chapter 2

+HER POV+ "Ashe?" Taka called to me with wonder. After he was sure that it really was me, he run and hug me real tight. I wonder if I will feel this comfortable hugging Jake. "I never see you like forever, Ashe. How's life going?" He asked after he brush my hair and give me that soothing smile. "Just the usual." If only I can tell him where I really came from. If only he can see that invisible place we're residing in. The place where it almost reach the clouds. The place where I know he will really love to see. "Sometimes, I thought you're not one of us, Ashe. It feel like your wall is far too great to handle. This is coming from your bestfriend. What more the others?" I just smiled at him. A part of me wanted to answer it "Right". That I'm not one of them. That I'll going to be not one of you. It is absurd to think I'm being friends with human. If anyone of the Thrassele know this, I'm dead. Sneaking here i...

Humanity Chapter 1

+HER POV+ Jake stared at me with amusement. His dark blue eyes is something I've always longed to see. It's unfathomable how fascinating it looks like. Beautiful is not the perfect word for his eyes, it is something more, something much prettier, something that dig within one's soul. A fancy thing within my reach but beyond my grasp. "Hey, you look a little off. Something's bothering you?" He says after walking and sitting beside me. "Nah." A response of mine clearly telling him that I don't need company right now. I need to calm myself. I need to stand on my ground. Any plausible thing that can make my unwavering heart is fine. This heart of mine. The very thing that causes disruption in my mind. This is the very reason why I'm in such a rage now. A storm is slowly starting to form in my very core. I don't know how to stop it. I have no control of it. "Don't be bothered by the "Recreation"." Jake throw a worried ...

Humanity Prologue

Emotions are such an incomprehensible thing. It felt happiness even if you don't want to. It felt sadness even if you control not to. You're going to feel terribly lonely into something you know you just have to accept.  Isn't heart just a chunk of muscle necessary for humanity to keep on living? Why does it keep on adapting to its environment? Why does it react to something it should not bother knowing? Are humans wrong in feeling this way?  Had they just carried that false tradition of their kins? All along, are they just a replicate version of the past scared of what they're capable of if they just relinquish that feeling they really don't have from the start?

Fixing Her Broken Pieces Chapter I

+HER POV+  "She has another bruise in her arms again", I heard one of my classmates whispered.  "Maybe she really did join a gang. Poor her, so heartbroken because Kyle dumped her." Added another one.  I heaved a sigh and crouched in my desk. I'm tired listening on this bullshit. Can't they say different lines? Are they NPC? Am I in a game where the protagonist gets bullied? Nah. I hope so. It's been two months since my mom left us. And it's a living hell after that. To be honest, I'm amazed I'm still breathing now.  One bruise on my right cheek from my father's slap. Two in my hands from his cigarette. Another in my right arm from when he shoved me real hard in our kitchen table. And now, this additional one in my left arm due to being beaten by a golf club.  Just because this mother of mine left home, and leave me, a useless daughter of hers. I've thought of running away multiple times but I just can't. Not because I love my fa...

Fixing Her Broken Pieces Prologue

+HER POV+  "Lame", I heard him said after stepping on the cigarette he's smoking earlier.  His eyes full of sweetness before turns into a hollow one, emotionless and full of malice. One I've never seen him wearing before. But by the looks of it, he's so used using that kind of face.  "W-what?", with confusion flooding my mind, I just uttered the one word everyone feels like using when in the same situation.  After a year of his kindness, being timid and clingy of me, like his world is about to end if I left him alone, I confessed that I love him back. I willingly open my heart, turning a blind eye on everyday scenarios that prove that loving someone is just a huge fucking joke. I expected him smiling widely, cheeks blushing, eyes tearing, waiting for his hug I've always been longing.  But that isn't it, right? From the looks of it, it seems like I've made a fool of myself. He turns into something I didn't know. He looks at me like some d...

Day 30 - Pillow Talk

"Remember the day we've met? You are so cool back then. You wear your favorite maroon shirt, along with those jeans that perfectly fit your leg. Your hair is still quite long, but it doesn't even make you look like a thug. You are so handsome that I fell in love with you the first time I saw you.". I said while clinging to his right arm. Instead of a pillow, I love resting on his arms. It was broad and comfortable. It is full of his scent which I can't resist. Reminiscing the past is happiness for me, but it also makes me sad. I can clearly imagine the things that we've experience, the obstacles we've faced together, those problems we've solved. I can play all of them repeatedly on my head, but it's all that it is. Watching it is what's makes it lonesome, realizing that all the mistakes you've made will permanently carve on your identity, and it's already buried on the corner of your mind.  I looked up into his face and saw it smiling. ...

Day 29 - Doing Chore Around The House

"Hey? Are you alright?" I heard him ask which drifts me back to reality.  I looked at his face and saw the same angelic smile on it. His smile always calm all the stress and anxiety I'm feeling. His eyes staring at me always make my heart tremble. Just what thing did I saw back there? Thinking that that thing is connected with this man is really unbelievable. Remembering even one picture of the place I've discovered is truly horrible.  "Hey?" He said again, touching my arms with his right hand while caressing my hair on his left.  "S-sorry. My head is aching, I think I need some rest." Answered I, while planning how to get away on this place.  He sighed heavily and guides me to lie on my bed. He gave me a comforter that warms the freezing of my body, even for a little.  "Rest well, my dear." He said while playing with my hair. How can this gentle guy be the same guy in my memory? How can this angel be the same one who terrorizes others? I...
