Fixing Her Broken Pieces Prologue

 +HER POV+ 

"Lame", I heard him said after stepping on the cigarette he's smoking earlier. 

His eyes full of sweetness before turns into a hollow one, emotionless and full of malice. One I've never seen him wearing before. But by the looks of it, he's so used using that kind of face. 

"W-what?", with confusion flooding my mind, I just uttered the one word everyone feels like using when in the same situation. 

After a year of his kindness, being timid and clingy of me, like his world is about to end if I left him alone, I confessed that I love him back. I willingly open my heart, turning a blind eye on everyday scenarios that prove that loving someone is just a huge fucking joke. I expected him smiling widely, cheeks blushing, eyes tearing, waiting for his hug I've always been longing. 

But that isn't it, right?
From the looks of it, it seems like I've made a fool of myself.
He turns into something I didn't know. He looks at me like some disgusting piece of existence, out of his sight. 

His bored look makes me want to leave, but I want his explanation, I'm still hoping there's some kind of mistake or we just miscommunicated. 

"You did well believing my sincerity, Selena. Took you too long to confessed. Wasted my time." He said coldly while patting my head. 

Still absorbing what he said, I'm lost in emotions I dare not to feel. Imagining the same old scenarios I've experienced a thousand times. The loveless, cruel and indifferent tone that slowly made me hollow completely. 

"Shut up, you fucker. You tortured me this time. You better set me up with this model friends of yours. I starved for too long, you piece of shit." I heard him said coolly on a friend in his phone, after realizing I've dozed my mind off. 

It's spiteful. Why do I keep standing here while he's showing off how ridiculous he is? Why am I still expecting something? 

I moved my feet, ready to back down the fight I unknowingly set foot in. 

"Hope you'll be happy", with my sincerest smile, I told him even if I know my tears started flowing. 

Walking away with I don't know how fast, the last expression I saw in his face is disgust.
Maybe, I'm destined to be alone in this life.
Maybe, it's only right for me to suffer. Maybe, maybe I did something really wrong in my past life.
No matter how many maybes I think of, it doesn't take away the pain. No matter how much I stood my ground, someone will come and break my will. 

I stopped for a moment and checked my phone. This life, no matter where I am, I can't seem to deserve a rest. 

"What do you want?" I answered the phone, hiding my quivering voice as much as possible. 

"I'm leaving. I can't do this any longer. I can't stay with your father anymore. But always remember that I love you." She said, without a stop, and hang up. 

Are you fucking kidding me?
That's it? What to you want me to do?
You're telling me you're leaving me, but you love me?
Wow, what an irony. I fucking hate you two.
I hate both of you.
I hate all of you.

KUROKO NO BASKET MOVIES 1 2 3 SUMMARY -TADATOSHI FUJIMAKI 1. Movie 1 Winter Cup Soushuuhen - Kage to Hikari 2. Movie 2 Winter Cup Soushuuhen - Namida no Saki e 3.
